Doggie Swim

Before Pools 1 and 3 close for the season, LRR dogs get to rule the pool!  On Monday, September 3rd, Pools 1 and 3 will close at 6 p.m. so your favorite four-legged friend can take the plunge (sorry, no humans allowed in with the dogs).

See the registration form for more information; a completed registration form is required to participate and must be given to the lifeguard on duty prior to entering the pool area.

For your convenience, Pool 2 will remain open and pet free until 9 p.m. that day.

Labor Day Trash Service

On Labor Day – Monday, September 3rd – the LRR trash service will follow the regular collection schedule.

National Night Out, Rec. #2, tonight

Come join your neighbors at Recreation Center #2 tonight from 6-9 p.m.  National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community.  National Night Out is a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.  See you tonight.

NVSL Individual All Star Swim Meet, Pool 2, August 2nd-4th.

A reminder that Pool 2 will be closed August 2 – 4 as the LRR Stingrays prepare to host the NVSL Individual All Stars swim meet on August 4th.  Top swimmers from over 100 area teams will compete and approximately 3,000 visitors are expected to attend.  The Stingrays have planned the event to minimize inconvenience to LRR residents, especially families living near Pool 2.  Off duty Fairfax County police officers will be on hand to facilitate car and pedestrian traffic.

For more information, see the All Stars meet information in the July and August issues of News on the Run.
