This is a notice that the Annual Meeting of the Little Rocky Run Homeowners Association will take place on Thursday, March 12, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. This meeting will take place at Rec Center 2, 6201 Sandstone Way, Clifton, VA, 20124.
Your attendance at this meeting is very important. A quorum of 10% of Little Rocky Run Homeowners Association members must be present, either in person or by a properly executed proxy, before any business can be conducted. If you are unable to attend the meeting, please complete the PROXY form (2020 Proxy Form) and either return it to the Vice President, LRR Homeowners Association, 6201 Sandstone Way, Clifton, VA, 20124 OR email it to firstname.lastname@example.org before Monday, March 9, 2020.
The business to be conducted at this meeting will include the election of four members to the Board of Trustees for two-year terms. There are four trustee positions available and four candidates have been nominated. Pursuant to the bylaws, nominations had to be submitted at least three weeks before the meeting; accordingly, there will be no additional nominations for the Board and no write-in candidates are accepted. The four candidates are Earl Ham, Rich Merker, Mark Roberts and Jim Zook. Please see the February issue of News on the Run for candidate biographies. Provided that a quorum of the members is present in person or by proxy, we anticipate that these candidates will be elected by acclamation. Should we not obtain quorum, the current Trustees will remain on the Board until the next Annual Meeting. Accordingly, while we essentially have an uncontested election, it is important that you submit a proxy or vote in person so that we have a quorum present.
Pursuant to Article V, Section 7 of the Little Rocky Run Declaration of Covenants and Restrictions, voting privileges for an owner may be suspended during a period in which an owner is in default in payment of any regular or special assessment levied by the Association. Owners have already been notified of such suspension and are not eligible to vote or assign a proxy until such an assessment has been paid.
